Pension fixation for defence pensioners - MSP yes

Pardaman Singh ji,
you had asked whether military service pay would count for pension. Yes, it should count as per page 77 of the report. Though it does not explicitly feature in the paragraph of page 346 mentioning not less than 50% of the sum of minimum pay in the pay band + grade pay thereon (drafted for civilian purpose), the above page 77 ruling on MSP has to be added. The MSP would not count for increments for those in service, which does not apply to you. Besides, since no arrears are payable for MSP (page 77), your pension would be based WITHOUT MSP from 1.1.2006 to the date of implementation BUT refixed WITH MSP from the date of implementation (pray that it is fast!). This feature would not be applicable to civilian pensioners.
I am a scientist / Engineer at ISRO and hence, you may reasonably have confidence in the above interpretation.
